For Eating Disorders Awareness Week this year #EDAW2017 my focus is on supporting ALL women and men to 'Ditch the Diet' and find peace with food.
You do not have to have a 'full blown' Eating Disorder to have a disordered relationship with food! So for today's post, I'm sharing a video I love, that completely supports part of the work I do with my clients around understanding how your brain works, and how it can play such a huge role in your ability to change (or not change...!).
By understanding what is going on up there, then you REALLY create opportunities for change. My mantra is "willpower will NEVER beat a strongly reinforced habit loop in the brain, so much of your 'failure' is not your fault or weakness at all! It is simply your BRAIN doing what it does.... Enjoy!
